Welcome to Eva Rose Vintage
Eva Rose Vintage Wedding Dresses, Accessories & Alterations is a Bridal Studio tucked away in the heart of the beautiful rural countryside, run by me, Jen. I am here to not only to help you find your dream dress but to make sure it fits perfectly too!
My little studio is my sanctuary, my haven, my happy place and I welcome all future brides to share this with me. I offer a very relaxed and comfortable environment to talk about your bridal needs, however big or small.
I’m extremely passionate about Bridal and Fashion, particularly vintage, and carry a beautiful selection of gowns that reflect this. It is also so very important to me to offer wedding gowns to all shapes and sizes, I am here to celebrate real women!
Bridal Accessories
I have a beautiful collection of jewellery, accessories and hair pieces which range from stunning Swarovski crystals to timeless classic pearls.
I am drawn to all things sparkly and vintage so I’m very much like a kid in a sweet shop when building this collection!
About me
Hi, I’m Jen, the founder and owner of Eva Rose Vintage.
I’ve been creative and arty for as long as I can remember, in fact I could draw before I could walk! I would say my first design piece would have been when I cut into a plain skirt to make it into a Ra Ra skirt, I was aged about 5 years old!!
It was then that my passion for Fashion started...
As a student, my love for Vintage Fashion grew. I created a capsule collection inspired by the 1970’s. It was all about catsuits with flared trousers, lycra bodysuits and asymmetric one-shouldered cocktail dresses. Fashion for me is about having fun and not being scared to be yourself.
After obtaining an Advanced BTEC National Diploma in Fashion and a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design, I went straight into my first graduate position as an Assistant Designer for a successful Bridal Company. I spent time working with hugely talented designers such as Donna Salado, Catherine Williams for Posh Frocks Couture and the first in-house designer from Saks Fifth Avenue, New York. Learning about design, the production process and working in the factories overseas was an invaluable start to my future in the industry.
After some time, the opportunity arisen to take a somewhat different pathway within the design world. I started working in the exciting world of Theatre. I worked as a Costume Designer and Maker for theatre shows, touring shows, pantomimes and on production shows for cruise ships. It was exciting to work with stars such as Tommy Steele, Bernie Nolan, Linda Nolan and Anthony Costa to name a few. I think my claim to fame definitely has to be working with Basil Brush and the original Bungle from Rainbow, which made my childhood dream!
After a colourful career in Theatre, I wanted to settle in one place. It was then that I opened my Bespoke Dressmaking and Alterations business. This included creating ‘one-off made-to-measure’ garments for women, children and some menswear. I also had the pleasure of meeting many brides with their Bridal parties and making their gowns fit perfectly. It was such a privilege to be a small part of their Wedding. It was then I realised how much I missed Bridal. My love for Vintage has always been there and being around Bridal gowns has driven a natural progression into Vintage Bridalwear.
After 18 years of experience, I have come full circle and I’m so excited to share with you my passion and knowledge for Bridal.
Lots of love
